The Writer in Me

Because stories deserve to be told.
Because lessons are meant to be shared.
Because insight needs space to rise.
Because every voice — including my own — deserves to be heard.

I didn’t set out to be a writer. But one powerful film moment during 2020 sparked something in me. I realized that books can shape minds, movements, and even history. If a single book could lead to darkness, then surely a book could bring forth light.

That became my vow: I would write something to bring forth that light. And in giving myself permission to write — and call myself a writer — I uncovered a flood of creativity that had been patiently waiting to arrive.

Today, writing isn’t just something I do. It’s how I reflect, connect, and contribute.

What I’m Writing

  • How to Build a Lifeboat (nonfiction)
I am exploring the elements of wellbeing and how I built my own lifeboat. With beautiful cover art by Harmeen Kaur.

  • Leadership in Black & White (nonfiction)
A black & white photo book depicting leadership lessons from the peloton, using my own cycling photos. Inspired by Jay Gundzik.

  • A Children’s Story (fiction)
An exploration of the special gifts we each have and the empowerment put them into action.

  • True Crime Fiction
Based on a true and sad tale, with the cracks filled in with relative fiction.

  • Short Stories & Essays
Found in my Journal and on Medium — glimpses into wellbeing, leadership, community, writing, and the quiet corners of the human experience.

  • Star Stuck (Co-authored with Nicola MacCameron)
A contemporary paranormal romance where the stage seems to become a spell — follow a starlet stuck inside the roles she plays. Weekly writing sessions are filled with laughter, wonder, and plotting.
