TLBVelo Photography

My Photos

My publically available collections are all here from 2016 onward. Please note some collections require passwords to ensure my client’s privacy. Digital prints are available for purchase here.

My current Instagram account as of February 2022. Formerly known as @tlbvelophotography to start afresh after the hacker made @tlbvelo inhabitable for me.

I have recently linked this account to Facebook so you can follow me there if you would prefer.

I started sharing my photos from local races and events in 2015. I used to post something daily until early 2022 when I accidentally let a hacker in. While I don’t use this space intentionally anymore, there are a lot of fond memories of people, places and events there. Click on the link above to see and read more.

My Philosophy

I love capturing an event in its totality -- from the macro to the micro.

I also love the beauty in bike racing found in the interplay between rider and machine. Most importantly, I love finding the beauty in the determination (and sometimes suffering...) of every face I capture. That is where my passion for photography grew.

My speciality is capturing movement — like cycling, golf, surfing, and music bands. Does that mean I can’t capture anything else? No! I love capturing the beauty in portraits, fashion and the street. My preferred setting is outdoors in natural light in beautiful settings — because that is where I think you’ll look your best doing what you love.

If you are looking for the glossy studio look, there are many other photographers who will give you what you need. I won’t do your hair, pick out your clothing or do your makeup. I will give you some guidelines and help you look your best though!

Being part of my community is incredibly important to me and I love doing what I can to support it, whether through my event photography or virtual photography. Contact me to discuss!

On and off the road, I have been fortunate enough to provide event photography for major events around the world. I enjoy making all riders look like pros, capturing the effort that they put into their pedals.
